Have you considered MKS removable pedals? Folding pedals develop play much faster than standard pedals. I started using non-folding pedals, because they are much more durable.

I've got a set of MM-Cube pedals, but unfortunately I don't think they're quite SPD compatible. Close, but I can't interchange cleats with the rest of my bikes.
