In addition to verifying the seat tube I.D., check to see if the fork has a Columbus steerer tube.
I got the frame today. The seat tube i.d. is 26.6. That was a surprise. There is no spiraling on the inside of the steerer tube, nor any markings on the outside of the steerer, other than "55".

There is no spiraling at bottom of downtube.

I have not had the opportunity to weigh the frame.

On the underside of the bottom bracket, it says 56 and S4. these are on the non-drive side.

The dropouts are 126, so no surprises there.

I am wondering why it says 55 on the steerer tube, and 56 on the b.b.

The impression I get is that this is Falck Cro-Mo tubing, with frame built by Tecnotrat.

S4 might mean Società Anonima Acciaierie & Ferriere Lombarde (Falck business name) or San Giovanni, where the Societa was located.
