Little bit offtopic but what the hell:
We've each got different requirements and appreciations for different kinds of bikes. High tech, low tech, old, new, Italian, Japanese, whatever. For those of you who would buy a used frameset, what would you realistically be willing to pay for something that was amazing to you?
An auction just ended for a mid-80s 3rensho frameset. $1100 or so USD. That's absolutely insane to me, but then again I'm ****ing broke. What would you all be willing to pay for something that was exactly what you'd been looking for (maybe looking for for years)?
To keep things simple let's say used frame and fork. My limit ... right now .... $400 (CDN).
