An auction just ended for a mid-80s 3rensho frameset. $1100 or so USD. That's absolutely insane to me, but then again I'm ****ing broke. What would you all be willing to pay for something that was exactly what you'd been looking for (maybe looking for for years)?
To keep things simple let's say used frame and fork. My limit ... right now .... $400 (CDN).
Hrm, for 400$CDN, you can get a really nice frame if you are both lucky and smart. A month ago there was a very lightly used Pista Concept with a BIN of 340$USD. I nearly bought it to re-sell (I wouldn't ride it on the street, kinda stiff, I hear) but I couldn't be bothered. Myself, I am cheap and poor and I like the challenge of finding a great deal, so I think that I could get my dream frameset for under 200$CDN. Keep in mind that I am versatile, it just has to be a nice Italian steel frame/fork. Not really that hard to come by, we shall see. My conversion is fine for now
