Unfortunately for me I have had several rear wheels develope cracks around the spoke holes. I retired them from road duty and realized they make the perfect trainer tires - the wheel is not supporting the weight of me and the bike and if it fails, no biggie!

I know this does not answer your question unless you have a wheel similar to mine laying around.
