Sign me up as one of the new, rookie BD lackeys. I usually buy Trek bikes from the LBS, but I didn't want to spend over 2 grand on a Boone, CrossRip or Crockett gravel/cyclo bike. I was able to get the same specs with a Motobecane Omni Strada Comp for less than half the cost of the equivalent Trek. I took the Motobecane to my LBS Trek dealer and they had no quarrel with assembling and tuning up the Motobecane for $60.
