Too effin funny, psuaero. Back in college, after a 20" dump of overnite snow, eight of us decided that classes would be conducted slopeside and hopped into two cars and started heading down I89 to Sugarbush. Beautiful, crisp morning. We get up to speed and watch in horror as the ski rack on our buddy's car in front of us literally takes off like a harrier jet from his Jetta and heads up to about 30 feet before plummetting onto the the highway, shattered and mangled fiberglass and metal everywhere and soon engulfed by the wheels of our car, by now doing 55 mph as well. After we grinded to a halt and added a muffler to the carnage,we got out and tried to clear the highway of the biggest bits of shrapnel. I had never seen four grown men cry like that. Check those racks often. Not a big fan of some of the Thule securing hardware.
