Can't help but necro-bump this thread cause I have a 89 CDI hanging on the wall right now...
I got the bike with the frame in good shape but with replacement rims (Velo Orange possibly) and missing other parts incl the rear derailleur. So I made it into a single speed coaster w a Velosteel rear hub.
Always gets people admiring it, but after a motorcycle crash and multiple knee surgeries, not sure I'm going to keep staring at it on the wall much longer.
Great bike tho, for sure.
