I have to admit... once I had the 1.1 tuned up by the LBS... new chain, brake pads, new tires, wheels trued, new brake cables, etc.... it's almost as good as the Domane. The Domane has a weight advantage and 105 is definitely smoother than 2300, but the 1.1 is no slouch by any stretch of the imagination. I only average about 1/2 mph better on rides with the Domane. The Domane is faster and it's a little easier on the climbs, but not a huge difference, IMO.
