It only matters if you are competing with someone or yourself. You will be faster up the hill on a lighter bike given the same output.

Dr Isotope mentioned 43 seconds on a climb. That's no big deal if solo or just riding for fun. That's a huge difference in a race or personal competition ala trying to beat a Strava KOM.
