It all depends on the time of day. I do not mind Cahuenga going valley-bound, but I do not like it doing the reverse since downhill speeds are much faster and the shoulder is smaller (on average).

All other roads going up, such as Nichols Canyon, are very narrow and are a nightmare during rush hour since Waze sends drivers up those roads. I have never gone up any of those roads during rush hour, but I would easily opt for Cahuenga. Franklin Canyon is nice, and that would be my option depending on your start/end point.

"The Valley" will always be SFV.
