The bike came with Gatorskins 25, first race we hit a cat's eye, flatted the front wheel and waved goodbye to our bunch, an experience I never want to repeat.
I decided to use the Pro One in 25 on my tandem on wide profile deep sections rather than 28 as that was not available locally. The 25 measures 28.6mm mounted at 110psi which seems wide enough for a road tandem.
I sit at the back and have found the ride to be incredibly comfortable and quiet, comparable to my road bike with older One in 23, also wide rim and tubeless measuring 25.78mm.
My captain can't believe how comfortable and fast the Pro One tyre and rim combination is. There is absolutely no reason for me to try anything else.
