Well, for some of us it isn't possible not to. (Um, I think there's a triple negative there, but I'm not sure.)

None of my bikes, except the newly built but not ridden yet 'cept around the block Tommasini, are 6 or 5. The truth is, I can't count to 7 when I'm sufficiently distracted by the scenery. I really don't mind 5. If the bike is right the number of gears is less important.
