Admittedly, I am new to the biking world. After moving to the Boston area, I wanted one to troll around town and save on gas.

I picked up the Fortified single speed and am enjoying it, although as mentioned above, I've got no reference points to draw comparisons from. I've read doing a search here that this particular bike company got a general meh from most that replied to inquiry threads in the past, but alas my question:

Is this worth upgrading? I was thinking about getting a carbon fiber fork, some new pedals and maybe a different crankset. Has anyone done this on this particular bike and has recommendations on parts that fit? What should I be looking for? Thanks for any help
