Alternatives to the Kinetic Rock & Roll Trainer

I have the first generation Kinetic Rock & Roll Trainer and simply love it! I have no issues with it, love it, and planned to ride it for a life time (either its or mine!) until today...

Do to time, my wife want to join me in working on in the mornings on an indoor trainer, so that means I need to get a second trainer and it gives me a chance to upgrade mine, if there is something out there that might suit me better. And that is one HUGH if!

Seriously, there is NOTHING I dislike about the Rock & Roll. I tried Zwift, which it was nice and all, I like doing sweet spot intervals on my trainer and simply don't need the bells and whistles of the smart trainers. What I do really, really like and would be very open to seeing an improvement on is the resistance. I really like how the fluid trainer works, it is really nice. It is my understanding that as far as dumb trainers go, fluid is the best. Is that correct? Is there a better fluid trainer out there than the Rock & Roll?

One important side note: The Rock & Roll is only rated for the rider and bike combined to be 250lb, I myself am north of that still. As it stands now, I am looking for a used Kinetic Road Machine for me to use and my wife will get the Rock & Roll, unless you all have some other recommendations!
