"Attention Walmart Shoppers" Shimano Sora is cheaper than Sram Red.
So let me understand, Sram is telling UK dealers not to ship to the USA and undersell USA vendors. Sram owns Zipp, they also own Quark, Rockshock and others. Sram tells UK vendors not to ship any of their subsidiaries to the USA and undercut USA vendors.
What's the surprise?
We all love a bargain, but if you're buying by price then your choice is clear. But after riding a Ultegra equipped for a 50 mile ride, i'm glad Sram to get back to my bike with Red.
Not saying one is better than the other, it's personal preference.
It's not always bout the price. If it were, we'd all be riding bike from Walmart.
You're making very false comparisons.
We are not comparing a $200 Dura Ace part to a $20 Sora part.
We're talking about one vendor wanting $400 for the $200 Dura Ace part and another vendor only wanting $200 for the EXACT SAME PART.
In that case, it is ridiculous to buy from the first vendor and a pricing scheme that makes the first vendor non-competitive is ill conceived.
