That's why I had local head mech and wheel builder extraordinare Derrick at The Bike Lane lace up these NOS (yep, as in new in the box) Dura Ace 7403 32 hole hubs to a new pair of 650B Velocity A23 rims- the rear one is offset. According to Randos-in-the-know, these are supposed to be about the best/strongest modern 650B rim you can build today:
But we also know that rims do not a wheelset make, and that a neat-O setup like this demands quality. That's why I opted for Compass Babyshoe Pass 650 X 42 tires with Schwalbe inner tubes:
And, finally (well, for today, anyway) you gotta have gears to get around. This 10 speed Shimano 12-34 cassette ought to do the trick:
