If your teammates aren't interested in joining the same series as you, why not finish out the year, try to get to know the guys on both the teams that show up to your races, and, at the end of the year, ask the guys you get on with better if you can join their team next year?
A couple guys on the dominant team have asked me a couple of times to join their team. Their team's geography is closer to me. Good guys.
So far my strategy has been 1) asking teammates to come and do this race, and 2) trying to ask guys to join my team. Neither has worked so far. I really hope to not switch teams. But honestly, if I got to the point where I was a cat 3 and one of the guys whom I really respect and like asked me to join his team, I probably would.
