I have been a member of the V-CC for best part of 3 decades, joined when it was the SV-CC - I founded and run a section.

I have raised a number of controversial issues in the club magazine, and there has been a debate. The club is excellent and has very friendly and knowledgeable members, but to paraphrase a well-known American: ask not what your club may do for you, but what you may do for your club.

There is no online presence, like this forum, and I think all the better for it...if I need to know anything I pick up the telephone and talk to a person..can you believe that ? Many of you will no doubt use the V-CCs excellent online resources yet don't give a second thought to joining - just happy for fee paying members like me to fund that resource ?

There will always be detractors in any club, I find they are usually the one's that make no attempt to contribute or participate - it is not a riding club, although there are many rides.
