I do agree with that. That clean loop of chain sans drealiures has always apealed to me aesthetically, and while I doubt it effects many people's opinion of me, riding fixed does do something for my self esteem to which is different. I don't think riding fixed is difficult, but it is different, it's a specific skill, and adding that to my ever-growing list of cycling skills does make me feel good about myself.
