Crank arm length - Am I obsessing too much?

A few years ago I acquired my 600 equipped Specialized Allez for $200 from Craig's List. Its 58cm frame may be a cm or two to small for me but that is better than too large and any shortness in the top tube is likely handled with a 110mm stem.

The crank arms are 170mm length and reviewing similarly sized bikes I find they have 175mm arms. Used cranks are available in this size for AROUND $50. Checked and found that 5mm is less than .2 inch. Will having longer crank arms give me any performance advantage? Inquiring minds want to know.
