Has unbranded (stickers fell off) 26'' 32h silver double wall rims with Tioga City Slicker tires. I think these are original, they still had the whiskers on them and were made in Japan. Rims lightly stamped inside 31 11 09k or maybe 31 11 usa.

Now I appreciate why you thought it was 1991. I'd also be tempted to reverse engineer that as a very early 1991 serial number. Still, the 1991 catalogue doesn't list an LX version of the Quatrefoil. I wonder if it was a poor seller and the factory relabeled some leftover 1991 frames as LX models? Or maybe they downgraded the DX to an LX version, after the catalogues were released? The component date codes may provide some clues.
