Now I appreciate why you thought it was 1991. I'd also be tempted to reverse engineer that as a very early 1991 serial number. Still, the 1991 catalogue doesn't list an LX version of the Quatrefoil. I wonder if it was a poor seller and the factory relabeled some leftover 1991 frames as LX models? Or maybe they downgraded the DX to an LX version, after the catalogues were released? The component date codes may provide some clues.

Sugino cranks one each 1GC & 2GC on the front and rear Also has GP on the back of the arms which I goes along with the lettering on the front of the arms.
Both saddles are GT Gel Lite dated 6/93
No date on either seat post or the stem.
My guess is the 9th frame built in January 1991. Sold in 1993 with whatever was around to build it.
Any thoughts on the 26'' wheels. I expected to find 700d when I went to see it.
