Of course I don't expect a reason, since there isn't one. I just like it when people try to give an explanation, because they are all bullocks, and it's entertaining to read the pseudo-science and nonsense that people come up with on this thread.
If the air you put in starts at 78% nitrogen, and the oxygen (and carbon dioxide) leaks out quicker, just keep pumping your tires up until you have pure nitrogen. (CO[sub]2[/sub] actually does leak out much faster, fwiw.)
