Conti Gator Skins are nice tires, for the flat protection level they offer they are among the smoother riding ones out there. However do know that the labeled size in not a dimension. Think of it like pants. Some pants that have a 32" waist will fit looser then others with a 33" waist claim. I find that the Gators I have tend to be a bit narrower then their label suggests.
If you were to buy the tires from a shop and then trial mount then there and they didn't fit I would think the shop would exchange without return costs. Andy
