Bikes: Some silver ones, a red one, a black and orange one, and a few titanium ones

I'd really like to try riding a bike up a mountain, or at least see how high up I can get. I can battle the winds of Illinois well enough, and I'd like to see how I do against gravity. What are some good rides in the area?

Thanks!
There are any number of them. Bicycle Village, Velosoul, SloHi, etc. Google it and a whole bunch pops up on Yelp.

Gravity ain't your problem out here. We give true meaning to the phase "suck wind". Lots of the rides people are suggesting are great rides...just not great rides if you are coming here from 500 feet above sea level. Our air is a rare commodity that is sipped, not gulped and if you try to gulp it, things turn out badly.
