Gravity ain't your problem out here. We give true meaning to the phase "suck wind". Lots of the rides people are suggesting are great rides...just not great rides if you are coming here from 500 feet above sea level. Our air is a rare commodity that is sipped, not gulped and if you try to gulp it, things turn out badly.
I used to live out there 30 years ago - I remember what it was like to go from Greeley -> Central IL as a kid. The air was so thick we had to push it out of our way to move through it . The bike ride would definitely be an end-of-the-week thing, so there would be at least a bit of acclimatization before I did anything too strenuous. Thanks for the warning!
