If I might be so bold, take a look at "Eat Fat, Get Thin" by Mark Hyman.

I have lost 60 lbs on it since last August, and am able to ride long distances on the diet.

It is low carb quasi-paleo based. I don't feel deprived and I don't have the issues with keto diets.

Probably the only drawback is the cost if you go whole hog with his grass-fed beef theories.
