Are you looking to use it more for street/road or for track riding? Pretty much all the entry level track bikes I know of are aluminum. The only carbon one I can think of at that price point is the Dolan Seta, which comes out to about 1500 USD, though you might pay a lot for shipping from UK. Lots more options if you go alu.
