The Pletscher offers double support at less than double the weight of a typical aluminum single stand. Plus it has the virtue of having both legs fold to the left, so there are no chain clearance issues.

I suppose that the OP might find something lighter, with the same functionality, but he won' find anything much lighter.

So, I suppose it boils down to deciding if the functional benefits warrant the added weight.
