All the frames he was making at the time were highly tailored to the buyer - I don't think he ever put serial numbers on the early bikes but he might still have the original records & can figure out your bike based on size, color, etc? He seems to back in business - maybe try contacting fatchance.bike. I was in high school at the time & for a few years my summer job was working as shop gopher for Chris. I got the frame as a sort of pay-out since salary was otherwise pretty low (labor of love i guess). I probably had about the nicest bike of any 16 year old in town. I recall spending 2 weeks salary to buy a beautiful set of fat silk tubular tires which rode like a magic carpet until they were irreparably flatted after about 2 days.
