A) Was this a special deal? I'm seeing about $30 - still good enough deal to me.
2) Tell us how you like them. I am in the same situation with 27" x 1 1/4" Kendas on there now, and might want to go down one size to 27" x 1 1/8" if I can be bribed by a good price.
iii) Same bike even, though different year. I have 1982 del Rey. From what I can tell from classic fuji, these came spec'd with 1 1/8" tires.

One of the only things preventing me from changing now is that the current 27" x 1 1/4" tubes are the same tubes as I have in the parts bin for another bike in the heard - 700 x 32 C. It means stocking another tube size to go down to 1 1/8".
