Still cold, but will be about 35° warmer this afternoon. That's sometimes a minor challenge on the road bike when my bag is over-filled on the home leg, from an extra jacket and gloves and so on. Although today I just under-dressed for it, I think I've finally devised the best solution with a new handlebar bag I designed over the weekend and tested on this commute. It uses my handlebar hook and stem brace structure, built into a canvas backpack which folds in half, round, for the handlebar use. Instant on and off with no fuss, and when I pull it straight up to take off it becomes a normal looking backpack with a little hardware on bottom. I'll test it out and refine it for a few months but I think it's a keeper.
