i was hanging on a ledge overlooking the painted desert in Arizona... a gust of wind and right in front of me hovered a golden eagle....magnificent apparently they like to catch some air too lol.
talk about being intimidated....
i was swimming across the lake in the sioux and this gigantic deerfly followed me for most of the swim.. i couldn't stop cuz it would try taking a bite out of my arm of head... they are almost as big as hummingbirds! must have looked pretty comical to those on shore waiting for me, as they all had a good laugh at me trying to swat the air as i swam
