I live in Seattle, walking distance from downtown, so I tend to be pretty careful about where I leave my car. People get towed! Also, people get chips on their shoulders sometimes and might key a car, etc, the guy giving you stink eye maybe. Probably not, but it's a risk/reward decision. I don't know how difficult it is to park in the area, what other rides are available, etc, so I'm not sure what I'd do in your position.
