In an odd twist of fate my mother recently got an 06 Ruby from her husband for Christmas. She just sent me a photo of her and her new bike. Apparently she went out on it for the first time today and had a fall with the clipless pedals. She is fine and didn't say anything about the bike so I assume it is also fine, apparently it was 34° today in Austin. FWIW she turns 70 at the end of April...go MOM.

*GASP* that is one of my biggest fears when i ride now... falling/crashing on my new bike!
(well... i mean i didn't want to crash or fall on my dolce... or even my mountain bike.. but you know what i mean! crash ruby! *GASP*)
it looks like she got the comp version (black) nice!!!!!!! i LOVE black bikes! (of course... it could be the blue expert and i just can't see the color in the pic!) regardless... if she sends more pics.. i'd love to see more pics of her version!!!! (i really, really, really wanted a black bike! lol! i LOVE black bikes... oh... i said that already!)

p.s. with that cute pink seat bag... that bike is screaming for pink handlebar tape and maybe even a few chris king pink accessories! lol!
