Nah everything leaving San Diego was rideable...plus it was day one so the legs were fresh. There is one short but severely sharp hill along the road into Bend NP along the Rio Grande that was like 18 percent...luckily it was only 100 ft of gain or so.
Looked kinda like this but worse...
