I've raced a fair amount over a bunch of years. I've never been in a USA Cycling sanctioned race that had race numbers on the bike.
I've only seen race numbers on bikes in pro races.
I have seen it on Gran Fondos, and organized centuries (mostly to sell pictures to the participants)
So I'm not sure that many people in the 33 have any experience with race numbers on bikes.
+1 go to the Tri forum or look up homemade number mounts on google and find all the ways Tri people make them. Lots of good DIY's out there
