For events like Cycle Oregon - a week of blue Porta-Potties and often big changes in temperature over the day, not having bib straps is a real blessing! Being able to do my business with a line waiting for me in 30 degrees. I really don't like having to pull off and hang (where?) my jersey in those stalls. (And it sucks to have to wait in that same 30 degrees for guys ahead of me wearing those bibs.)

It is possible to pee without removing bibs, just sayin'. It can stretch the fabric a but if not done carefully, but it's easy enough.

Other bodily functions require bib removal, obviously, but I time such events so that they do not coincide with bike rides. Never been a problem.
