Yes Weinmann did and continues to.

French companies were Super Champion (good) and Rigida (trickier to work with).

Japanese - Ukai

American - Matrix

Sun currently makes good and relatively light rims that look vintage, the M13 model. Available in black, silver, and polished, 32 or 36 hole drilling.
