If it's a regular ride, I have no problem with it. I love a good sweat. The problem is ending up to work that way and not being able to take a shower once I get here to be presentable.

Did my first commute to work today. Beat the bus I usually take, so that was pretty cool. Some thoughts.

1) Ride in was perfect. Nice, cool morning with a decent wind. Wore wicking t-shirt and gym shorts. Wasn't sweating much when I got here. The trip in is a decent decline, so I coasted more than pedaled.

2) Being the IT guy has its perks. Namely, access to the air conditioned server room that is kept between 68-70. Was a perfect cool down spot once I got here.

3) I need a rack and commuter bag of some kind. I've seen them on Amazon and will splurge for one soon. I brought my normal backpack with only my essentials (lunch box, Kindle, day planner) and with my pants and shirt in the bag there was no room for shoes. Luckily, Friday is casual dress. So, I wore the same tennis shoes for work i rode in on. Monday-Thursday won't work until I can carry a second set of shoes.

4) The baby wipe idea was awesome. I can't believe how refreshed I felt after wiping down with them a bit after I got here
