butterfly bars and
H-bars give more position choices than just plain old straight/riser bars. You could switch from straight/riser bars your bike might come with to one of those and not likely need to replace any other parts.
The one single most important thing is that you like riding the bike; if the bike doesn't do that for you, it will make it a lot easier for you to ride it less and less...
