To get the current rear off, I'm guessing I deflate and just keep massaging the sideways till it comes loose, and then peel it off?

Then, after I do the outlined process to the spare, and take it back off, do I apply another (perhaps thin) layer of glue to the rim before the current tire goes back on? Or is that unnecessary at that point?
