Both bikes are good bikes. Decide if you want the step through or not because that is the main difference. A step through can be easier to get on and off and there is thing about wearing a dress which I really can't comment on. Some of Trek's women's bikes have geometry and components (like shorter cranks) on some models that just fit some women better. As someone else said ride each bike and see if one speaks to you more than the other. You might surprise yourself. You won't go wrong with either bike.
As for the comment about selling a hybrid to buy a hybrid, I don't even know where to start with that. . .
