Damage to chainstay from heel hitting

A little more than a year ago I rode for some time with the heel hitting the chainstay on the upstroke because of too much float. When I realized I reduced the amount of float (Speedplay Zero) and the problem was solved. However, the hitting left some marks and peeled off some paint. I have ridden since this occurred for more than a year with no issues. Should I worry about this? Or is there anything that should be done about it?

The bike is a CAAD12 Disc.

Thanks.
