Sure, it would be great to be well off and maybe not need to work, to live there car-light and enjoy biking or surfing and once in a while drive into a larger town with more amenities, but if you had two working parents and some teens you'd probably need 3 cars to live there.
I'm quite disappointed that you came up with such a bad example of a possible LCF/LCL community in California, but not so much disappointed in you - it's more the rest of us at fault. Presumably you came to the forum seeking ideas on how to live car-free or light, (obviously, since that is what the forum is for), and the rest of us ought to have given you useful tips. However, despite all the time you spend here and the dozens of your posts we have responded to, it's clear that you have learned nothing.
