I totally don't get this. The only reason the bike would overshift and send the derailleur into the spokes would be improper limit adjustment...the cable tension, which is what will change before your first tune up, just can't cause an overshift. If the LBS properly tuned the bike before the sale....as they MUST do by contract with Specialized...there isn't an issue.

Eh whatever...if you feel better with it on there, that is fine...actually the one that came with mu Comp is pretty small compared to some I have seen...doesn't look so bad....but I wouldn't ride with it on there.
