Some roads should be avoided since there are parked cars, no shoulders and a good amount of traffic. You can find back roads that will get you to better areas.

What type of riding and how many miles do you ride?

There's a MUP path from Cedar Creek Park to Tobay beach. It's 9.5 miles each way and maybe 5 miles from Baldwin. There are back roads you can take to get there.
I have a road bike so I stick to paved roads. I'll usually do 15-25 miles depending on how much time I have. When I was riding more consistently I would also do 30-40 mile rides with friends on the weekends. I haven't done any serious riding after the TD Bike Tour last year. Since I'm looking to get back into riding I'll likely start increasing my mileage.
