i do have an ultegra and a da bike, and the da really feels silkier, and hopefully will last longer, but in hindsight i was a bit of a boob to blow so much money on it... agree with the above assessments that 105 is solid stuff that would be great for most of us....
but then again, by buying knock-off brand bikes on the web, i DID get the ultegra for what you would typically pay for 105 at the lbs, and likewise the da was had for what you'd expect to pay for ultegra...
