Protecting yourself is fine, but if you go out intentionally looking to harm the dogs then you're a sociopath. She was wrong, but your response was also wrong. You're entitled to protect yourself but you don't need to resort to killing the dogs as a first resort. If you can't handle a couple 25 pound dogs I have to assume that a) you were in the air force and b) maybe you shouldn't be riding.
